Double Course Record Broken at Outlaw Half Nottingham 2025

History was made at Outlaw Half Nottingham 2025, with both the male and female course records falling on the same day — a first for the event.
Serena Carter delivered a phenomenal all-round performance to take the women’s win in 4:18:17, breaking a record that had stood since 2014. She exited the water in 27:53, powered through the bike in 2:19:44, and closed it out with a 1:24:38 run. Her time knocked 39 seconds off the previous best set by Catherine Faux, and came off the back of a strong, consistent race that left no doubt she was here to make a statement.
In the men’s race, Lewis Eccleston claimed the win in 3:51:43, shaving just one second off Will Clarke’s 2019 course record. He clocked a 25:46 swim, a 2:07:12 bike, and ran a 1:13:38 to the finish. It was a gutsy, calculated effort — one that proved just how tight things can get when you’re chasing history.
Both athletes earned a share of a £1,500 prize pot, but more importantly, they etched their names into the Outlaw record books.
With two course records falling on the same day, it’s hard not to ask the question: is Outlaw Half Nottingham the fastest middle distance triathlon in the UK? The flat, closed-road bike course, supportive crowds and smooth event delivery all contribute to a set-up where quick times aren’t just possible — they’re expected. Add in an electric atmosphere and you’ve got the perfect storm for PBs and record-breaking performances.
Whether you're aiming for a title or just looking to test your limits, Outlaw Half Nottingham is proving to be the place to do it.
